The killing of 8 members of the regime forces and their allies raises to at least 44, the number of casualties in 5 days of escalation of the military operation in Daraa countryside

The clashes continue in the countryside of Daraa between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the eastern and northeastern countryside of the province, amid attempts by the regime forces to achieve more advancement after controlling 2 villages at least which include several houses, and the violent clashes whose pace escalated today, Saturday, the 23rd of June 2018, have caused killed and wounded members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 8 casualties at least of the regime forces and their allies and the injury of more than 20 others today, Saturday, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, raising to 13 at least, the number of regime’s casualties who were killed since the start of escalation of the military operation in Daraa last Tuesday.

Also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 10 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, who were killed since the beginning of the clashes and the escalation of shelling for the 5th consecutive day in the eastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 18 civilians at least including a woman and her son, in addition to 3 women and 2 children were killed in the artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them on several villages and towns in the countryside, and the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3 citizens including 2 children, as a result of the fall of shells on areas in Daraa city and other places in al-Sanamin city, raising to 44, the number of casualties of the civilians, faction fighters, and members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
